All enterprises of Myronivsky Hliboproduсt, engaging in the corn growing and handling, gathered in the peak sunflower crops this year.

In 2007, there was cropped 23,190 tons on the area of 11,504 ha (the crop yield amounted 20.16 hwt/ha). In October, 2007, all agrarians of the Myronivsky Hliboproduсt cropped 33,575 tons on the area of 11,991 ha (the crop yield increased up to 28 hwt/ha).

Now, the crop yield of the enterprises of Myronivsky Hliboproduсt is 85% higher than the average sunflower crop yield in Ukraine (according to preliminary data, it amounts 15.2 hwt/ha). Ministry of Agro-Industrial Policy has increased the forecast of sunflower crop yield by 12-14% to 5.6-5.7 mln. tons in 2008.

Increase in sunflower crop yield will allow holding-up of stable production of the plant protein. The protein factory on the basis of the Mironivsky Plant for Manufacturing Groats and Feeds was put into operation in 2004 – this fact allowed using of home-produced plant protein for feed-stuff manufacturing and gaining of massive reduction of their production cost.
