PrJSC Oril Leader

The enterprise’s integration into the MHP in 2001 marked the group’s next step toward its leadership in the poultry farming market. The enterprise, which has retained its business profile - raising broiler chickens and manufacturing meat products — ever since its establishment, accounts for over 28 million broiler chickens raised within the group, or over 66,400 tonnes of chicken meat, when expressed on a live-weight basis.

The Oril’s production cycle is almost completely closed. Available farmland allows the enterprise to grow its own grain crops to feed its poultry. Crops are stored in the available granaries. In 2005, the PrJSC began the construction of elevators in Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava Regions. Two years later, they were put into operation. The newly constructed elevators are used for the single purpose of storing sunflower seeds (their total capacity amounts to 64 thousand tonnes).

PrJSC Oril Leader is headed by Sergiy Vasylyovych Mishchenko, who manages 1280 staff.

SE Shakhtarska Nova Poultry Farm

Established in the 1930s as Stroganov state farm, the enterprise ranked among the poultry industry leaders in the former USSR. Over the years, Shakhtarska was subject to repeated changes in its business profile and experienced a dramatic drop in production after Ukraine had gained its independence. In 1995, the poultry farm went into the red, and in 2001 it went bankrupt.

In 2003, MHP helped the enterprise to revive. The group’s shareholders approved the resolution to establish SE Shakhtarska Nova Poultry Farm. At present, it is one of MHP’s strategic facilities, engaged in breeding broiler parent stock. The poultry farm supplies hatching eggs to CJSC Druzhba Narodiv Nova, CJSC with Foreign Investment Oril Leader and SE Peremoga Nova. In addition, the farm supplies different grades of commercial eggs to the consumer market.

The average annual number of parent chickens amounts to 385 thousand birds. Consequently, the enterprise delivers above plan, producing  in 2008 approximately 47 million eggs, whereas at the peak of its operations before joining the MHP group, the farm’s output did not exceed 30 million eggs.

Since its modernization, the poultry farm has been headed by Viktor Stepanovych Gryniuk. The poultry farm employs 500 people. .
