MHP’s companies have finished harvesting rapeseed

First results are full of consolation.

Rapeseed’s yield brought Company over 42 700 tonnes (gross yield) from 14,4 thousand ha (lands of JSC “Zernoproduct”, SPF “Urozhay”, ACL “Starynska ptahofabryka”, etc.). Company’s total land bank is 180 000 hectares.

About 90-95 % of the harvest will be exported, according to the obligations under forward contracts.

Average yield of winter rape was: on bunker weight — 2,96 tonnes per hectare, after drying and cleaning — about 2,66 tonnes per hectare. This figure is 66 % higher than the average 2009 yield forecast in Ukraine — 1,6 tonnes per hectare (Source: Center “Agro Perspektiva”).

While it is a top season for vacations, agrarians keep working .Harvesting continues.
