Vertical integration reduces MHP’s dependence on external suppliers and its exposure to increases in raw material prices. In addition to cost efficiency, vertical integration enables us to maintain strict biosecurity, to control the quality of our inputs, and the quality and consistency of our products – right through to the point of sale.
MHP is a leader in the Ukrainian poultry market with around 55% of industrial production with one of the strongest food brands “Nasha Riaba”. 100% of poultry processed at own facilities.
Our Grain-growing operations segment produces and sells feed grain for our own operations; a portion is also sold to third parties. Currently MHP cultivates 340,000 hectares of fertile black soil. We grow corn, sunflowers, wheat and rape.
- Meat processing
It is also an integral part and a logical development within our integrated business model. The Company produces a range of different meat products from smoked chicken to premium beef and foie gras. Chicken meat is one of the main ingredients in our processed meat products – accounting for over 50% of its composition, the rest is beef and/or pork.
- Other operations
Other agricultural operations segment produces and sells sausages and cooked meat, produced by Ukrainian Bacon, as well as goose, foie gras and other agricultural products.
MHP has broad geography and operates at 13 regions of Ukraine. The Company employs more than 30,000 people at 30 enterprises. Being one of the biggest landlords in Ukraine we cultivate 370,000 ha of land.
- Vinnytsia Complex
LLC Vinnytsia Poultry Farm is the largest poultry farm in Europe, which is set up with modern equipment using the up to date technologies. It was commissioned in 2012, and by 2014 had already reached 100% production capacity.
MHP’s goal is environmental safety combined with organic farming. Alternative energy, efficient use of resources, reduction of energy consumption, use of energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies are becoming increasingly crucial in terms of energy dependence.
